College Council was formed in May 2005 to provide an opportunity for everyone in the LWTech community, faculty, staff and students, to participate in the process of shared governance. The governance of any college is central to bringing the best to its students.
The purpose of the Council is to:
Increase communication and participation of faculty, staff, and students in the governance of the College
Deliberate and advise Administration on suggested College policy
Communicate with standing and ad hoc committees of the College that develop and recommend such policies and procedures
The Council does not engage in confidential issues related to Human Resources or Bargaining.
Regular Meeting Schedule
College Council meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month. The meeting schedule is published and emailed to all college employees. Meetings are held at 1:00 p.m. in the West Building, Room 305A. No meetings are held during summer quarter or breaks.

College Council Membership
Voting delegates are elected by their constituent group. Your voice is heard through your group's representative(s). They are there to work for you, but they can only bring forward issues and opinions that you bring to them. Please be an active participant in this important aspect of the college governance process!
