Kids and their parents will have reasons to smile Saturday, February 8 when dental hygiene students at Lake Washington Institute of Technology (LWIT) help area dentists, assistants and hygienists during a free dental day for kids.
Services are available by appointment, and will be offered 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Call 425.739.8100, ext. 8612 to schedule your appointment. Services are available for children ages 5 to 13. Call today, space is very limited.
For more than 20 years, LWIT has worked with area dental professionals to reduce cavities for children in the community. They provide exams, x-rays, fluoride varnish and sealants. Sealants are white coatings applied to the chewing surfaces of back teeth to protect from cavities. They are non-toxic, application is painless, and they can protect a child's teeth for six to eight years. Kids with cavities will be scheduled to have their teeth filled later at no cost.
