LWIT Students to Exhibit at PAX Seattle

Lake Washington Institute of Technology's Digital Gaming and Media program will again be exhibitors at PAX Prime Seattle, August 30 - September 2, 2013, at the Washington State Convention Center.

LWIT will be in booth 7613 located in the convention center's upstairs venue.

Instructor Rob Gilbert will lead a team of students and staff who will be available to discuss their work and talk about the digital gaming and media programs and classes offered by LWIT.

"Our students have worked very hard to create innovative 3D models and games," said Nancy Dick, LWIT's Dean of Design, IT, & E-Learning.

Live Video at LWITtv

A live video stream of the LWIT booth will also be available via LWITtv on the Lake Washington Institute of Technology's website at https://my.lwtech.edu/live.aspx. Over the three days in 2012, the live stream received over 4,000 hits and the booth handled 300 in-person inquiries about LWIT programs and classes.

Created in 2004, PAX Prime Seattle has been hailed as the celebration of gamer culture. Defining characteristics of the festival include an opening keynote speech from an industry insider, game-culture inspired concerts, panels on game topics, exhibitor booths from independent and major game developers and publishers, a LAN party, tabletop game tournaments, and video game free play areas. PAX Prime Seattle is now the largest gaming event in North America and has spawned spinoffs in Boston and Melbourne.
