Lake Washington Technical College Earns National Marketing Awards

KIRKLAND, Wash. - Lake Washington Technical College's (LWTC) marketing efforts have been honored by two national competitions.

The college captured four awards at the 25th Annual Educational Advertising Awards, sponsored by Higher Education Marketing Report. The college earned a Gold Medal for their International Programs Wine Holder; a Silver Medal for a series of Radio Advertisements promoting the college; and two Merit Awards, for the publication of the Annual Report to the Community and for a poster promoting the Auto Repair Technician program.

The Educational Advertising Awards is the largest educational advertising awards competition in the country. This year, over 2,000 entries were received from more than 1,000 colleges, universities and secondary schools from all fifty states and several foreign countries. A national panel of higher education marketers, advertising creative directors, marketing and advertising professionals and the editorial board of Higher Education Marketing Report served as the judges. Gold Awards were earned in two categories, for a series of radio ads promoting college programs and for the LWTC Photo Album. Two Bronze Awards were earned, one in the Poster category and another for the Duvall Campus Nail File. A Merit Award was earned for the college's International Programs Travel Kit.

The SIAA is the only award program to specifically recognize the creativity and communication of the service industry. Over 1,400 entries were submitted and each was reviewed by a national panel of judges for execution, creativity, quality, consumer appeal and overall break through advertising content.
