Degrees & certificates set record in 2009-10
LWTC awarded a record number of degrees and certificates in 2009-10. Students completed 817 degrees or certificates, most over the past 5 years. The total was 240 more than 2008-09 and 172 more than 2007-08. Over the past 10 years, the only school year that saw more completions was 2003-04 when 865 were awarded. Several factors contributed to the increase: 1) higher enrollment; 2) streamlining of curriculum by Instruction; 3) greater collaboration between Instruction and Student Services; 4) the commitment by all faculty and staff involved in advising; and 5) implementation of a new degree audit tool.
