Important Health Insurance Requirement

All international students on an LWTech I-20 are required to have health insurance.  Students can purchase insurance at LWTech for a contracted plan provided by the LewerMark Agency. For more information, please check our student insurance page. Please indicate on the application if you would like health insurance added to the student's registration records upon arriving on campus.  For first-time LWTech international students, coverage can begin the moment the student gets on the plane for the United States or 30 days before the first day of class.  The insurance charge for the 2013-2014 school year is $225 per quarter.  Please submit a copy of private insurance, in English, if you are providing your own insurance.

Please visit the LewerMark-LWTech website for more information about health insurance.

International students are required to inform the International Programs Office of change of address within 10 days of a change to remain "in status." A Change of Address Form must be completed and submitted online to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Lake Washington Institute of Technology's International Program Office can assist with any questions you may have.

LWTech does not have on campus housing.  There are several local host family placement organizations that will assist international students with housing. The application process, placement, and monthly fees will vary.

Another housing option is to stay at a local hotel.  Mention that you are a LWTech student for the LWTech student rate when you call for reservations.
