The Energy & Science Technician AAS degree prepares students to meet the increasing demand for jobs related to green technology and alternative energy. The program prepares students for employment as technicians in areas such as biomedical and industrial laboratories, manufacturing operations, energy companies, and environmental positions in public and private institutions.
Graduates will be qualified to serve as technical representatives across a range of industries that include developmental technologies in the renewable energy field. Students will receive a well-rounded education that includes courses in math, statistics, written and oral communication, social science, alternative energy, biology, chemistry, physics, and computers.
Electives also allow students to direct their studies toward environmental, chemical, bioenergy, energy technology, and industrial/laboratory specializations. Stand alone certificates are also available for each specialization.
