Registered Nursing (RN) Program
The Registered Nursing (RN) program requires completion of a Registered Nursing application (Acrobat Reader is required).
There is a formal, competitive admissions process for entry into this program. Many more students will apply for admission than can be accepted into the program. The college will use prerequisite classes, references, prior education, work experience, and an entrance exam (the TEAS) to determine the best candidates for the program.
The prerequisite science courses must be at least seven years current upon program entry, be measured by a proficiency examination, or be waived by special petition to the dean for allied health. ALL prerequisites must be complete by the time of application in order to apply. In progress classes will not be accepted.
Applications are accepted three times each year: in April for the following Fall Quarter, in October for the following Winter Quarter, and January for the following Spring Quarter. All submissions should be sent to LWIT Enrollment Services.
Completed applications will be forwarded to an evaluation group in the nursing program. Final selection letters to all who submitted complete applications will be mailed as soon as possible after decisions are made. Please do not contact the college to ask for status reports about this process; all applicants will be notified by letter.
