Registered Nursing (RN) Program
The Registered Nursing (RN) program requires completion of a Nursing AAS-T Application and review of the Supporting Information Document. These can be accessed on the Nursing AAS-T Advising site:
There is a formal, competitive admissions process for entry into this program. Many more students will apply for admission than can be accepted into the program. The college will use prerequisite classes, references, optional prior education, optional work experience, and an entrance exam (the TEAS) to determine the best candidates for the program.
The prerequisite science courses must be at least ten years current upon program entry, be measured by a proficiency examination, or be waived by special petition to the dean for allied health. ALL prerequisites must be complete by the time of application in order to apply. In-progress classes will not be accepted.
Applications are accepted three times each year: in July for the following Fall Quarter, in October for the following Winter Quarter, and January for the following Spring Quarter.
Completed applications will be forwarded to an evaluation group in the nursing program. Final selection emails to all who submitted complete applications will be sent as soon as possible after decisions are made. Please do not contact the college to ask for status reports about this process; all complete applicants will be notified by email.
