Wine Certificates

The Beverage Managment and Wine Business Certificates of Completion prepare students for entry level positions  in wine production,  tasting room management, restaurant wine service, wine marketing, and wholesale and retail sales.

Wine is tasted in most of the classes so students must be 21 years of age to participate. Program includes local field trips and guest lecturers. Classes are offered during afternoon and evening hours.

Gainful Employment Disclosure

Regulations published in the Federal Register on October 29, 2010, require institutions to report certain information about students who enrolled in Title IV eligible educational programs that lead to gainful employment in a recognized occupation (GE programs). Those regulations also provide that institutions must disclose to prospective students certain information about the institution's GE Programs.

Wine Dinner Series

LWTech's Culinary and Wine programs are proud to present their seasonal Wine Dinner Series!

Held once per quarter, these dinners not only showcase our students' skills, but also feature wines from some of the best wineries in the Pacific Northwest. All dinners are held in LWTech's Chef City Grill with each course prepared by students in the Culinary Arts program with wines chosen by students and instructors in the Wine Technology program.

Fall Dinner: December 5, 2014, 6:30 - 9:30 pm. "Winter Wonderland"

Winter Dinner: February 13, 2015, 6:30 - 9:30 pm. "Valentine's Day"

Spring Dinner: Friday, June 6, 2015, 6:30 - 9:30 pm. "Welcoming Summer"

Cost: TBD (was $75 in 2013-14). Proceeds are used for student scholarships, travel and attendance to compete in The Culinary Knowledge Bowl, opportunities to study abroad, and program development.

Courses: A four (4) course dinner plus dessert is served.

Wines: Each course will be paired with select wines.
