Apply for Admission

Take the COMPASS placement assessment or submit official transcripts for evaluation.

Attend New Student Orientation (mandatory for first time college students, otherwise skip to step six)

  • New Student Orientation occurs every Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. and Friday at 1:00 p.m. in West 204F.

Academic Plan. Most vocational counselors need an academic plan that details required classes, when you can take them, and an estimate on how much this will cost. You MUST make an appointment for an academic plan and advisors generally book up two to three weeks in advance. Call 425-739-8300 for an appointment.

Register with the DSS office. Most students funded by L&I or a Third Party Administrator have an injury that would benefit from accommodations in the classroom.

Register for Classes

  • New Student Orientation (step 5 above) is mandatory for first time college students.  All students must either attend orientation or show transcripts to an advisor in W207 in order to register for classes.

Register for classes. Pay for classes. Tuition is generally due by the start of the quarter; your vocational counselor needs to contact Student Accounts 425-739-8184 or by Fax: 425-739-8182 to discuss the details of your payment plan.

Thank you for choosing Lake Washington Institute of Technology!
