Assessment Center

The Assessment Center at Lake Washington Institute of Technology is dedicated to providing quality testing and assessment services to our students, faculty, staff, and the community.

Budget Services

LWIT Budget Services handles the development and implementation of the college budget and prepares financial reports.

College Advancement

The College Advancement department encompasses a range of programs and services dedicated to developing a positive public image and to building lasting and beneficial relationships with all college constituencies.

College Council

The College Council provides an opportunity for everyone in the LWIT community to participate in the process of governance.

Counseling

Lake Washington Institute of Technology offers appointments with a professional counselor for free, short-term personal counseling (usually 3-5 sessions). Community resources, advocacy and referrals can also be accessed.

Disability Support Services

Lake Washington Institute of Technology provides full support services to all students with disabilities in compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.

Employment Resource Center

Lake Washington Institute of Technology's Employment Resource Center provides quality career exploration, job search assistance, and employment resources to students, alumni and community members in order to assist them in reaching their educational and career goals.

Facility Rentals

LWIT's Facility Rentals offers reasonable rates for meeting facilities to businesses, professional groups or service club organizations. Choose from an auditorium, multi-service room, or a classroom. Audio/visual services are available.

Foundation

The Lake Washington College Foundation changes student lives through scholarships and grants. The Foundation promotes health and wellness awareness and contributes significantly to the Lake Washington Technical Academy and the Early Learning Center.

Financial Aid Office

Dates, deadlines, and necessary information as it relates to applying for financial aid.

Global & Extended Learning

The Global and Extended Learning Center provides individuals with access to a variety of life-long learning opportunities for career change, career advancement, or personal growth.

Grants Development

The Grants Development Office provides leadership and guidance in preparing and submitting grant proposals from all areas of the college.

Information Technology Services

Information Technology Services department offers technical solutions to the staff and students.

Instructional Council

The Instructional Council is a group of 13 selected full- and part-time faculty and six instructional administrators that serve as a communications link between the faculty and the Office of Instruction.

Office of Instruction

The Office of Instruction is located in the East Building, Room E221. Hours of operation are 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Opportunity Grant Scholarship

The Opportunity Grant Scholarship is a grant program from the state of Washington designed to help low income students in high demand pathways reach their educational and employment goals.

Outcomes Assessment

Students come to college for a variety of reasons. Regardless of the reason, the goal of Lake Washington Institute of Technology to offer its students an education, including general skills and knowledge, critical for success in life as well as the technical skills to become employed in their chosen field.

Student and Teacher Academic Resource Center

The Student and Teacher Academic Resource Center (STAR) is committed to providing students, staff, and faculty with the assistance needed to fulfill their academic potential.

TRiO

Federal TRiO programs are educational opportunity programs designed to motivate and support students from disadvantaged backgrounds. TRiO includes six outreach and support programs targeted to serve and assist low-income, first generation college students, and students with disabilities to progress from middle school to post baccalaureate programs.

Teaching Learning Center

The Teaching Learning Center provides employees encouragement and support in fostering professional development and continuing enhancement of teaching and learning skills.

Worker Retraining

If you're unemployed or vulnerable to a layoff, you may be able to obtain financial aid through Lake Washington Institute of Technology's Worker Retraining program. This program also serves military veterans, displaced homemakers, and others.

Workplace Skills

The Workplace Skills Program provides basic skills customized for the needs of specific workplaces and workers. Instruction occurs at the workplace wherever possible and is linked to other training or organizational activities.
