COMPASS Placement Test

The COMPASS placement test is required for enrollment in English, math, at many technical and academic classes. Students pursuing a degree or certificate must take this test before enrolling.

Test of Essential Academic Skills

The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) is required as part of the admission process for the Dental Hygiene, Nursing, and other Allied Health programs.

Remote TEAS for LWIT

If you live outside of Washington state or the regional area, you may arrange to take the TEAS test remotely at another college testing center.

EMT Pretest

Lake Washington Technical College no longer offers EMT testing or the EMT program.

General Education Development

Lake Washington Institute of Technology provides GED (General Educational Development) testing to those who have not completed a high school diploma to earn a GED certificate. By testing and receiving your GED certificate, you open a door to higher education and maybe a more interesting job.

Keyboarding Test

Lake Washington Technical College no longer offers the Keyboarding tests. We do, however, have links to locations that do.

IC3 Key Applications Test

The IC3 Key Applications Test satisfies the CISA 101 / BAS 101 (Computer Applications) program prerequisite for the Medical Assisting, Funeral Service Education, and Accounting programs. It may be substituted for CISA 101 / BAS 101 in other programs of study.

WAOL Proctoring

Students are advised to schedule a WAOL Proctoring appointment 2 to 4 weeks in advance due to holidays, test volumes, or academic assessment deadlines.

CLEP

Lake Washington Technical College is a National Open Center for the computer-based College Level Examination Program (CLEP) exam.

Test Proctoring

LWTC offers proctoring services for LWTC students and for distance learning students from other colleges and universities.

MOS 2007 / IC3 / Adobe CS5

LWTC is an authorized certification testing center for Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) 2007, Internet and Computing Core Certification, and ACA Adobe CS5 Certifications.
