Lake Washington Institute of Technology's Assessment Center, located in the West Building, Room W204, is an authorized testing center for the Microsoft Office Specialist 2007 (MOS) & Adobe Certified Associate (ACA). These programs are recognized worldwide as tools to demonstrate technical skills using Microsoft and Adobe software applications.
Advantages of Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) 2007 at LWIT
By passing some of these certifications, one may satisfy the prerequisites or course requirements for Microsoft Office application courses at LWIT as follows:-
CISA 111 - Word, CISA 112- Excel I, CISA 113 - Excel II, CISA 114 - Access, CISA 124 - PowerPoint or CISA 235 - Outlook.

Additional credits will need to be fulfilled and approved by an faculty advisor as a substitute in order for the student to earn a certificate or degree from LWIT.
A completed certification will also add to the student's portfolio.

MOS 2007 tests are offered by appointment only on Monday and Wednesday. You must have an LWIT Student ID# to schedule. You will get the number via email in 2-3 working days. Schedule an appointment.
On the test day, you need to bring:

MOS 2007 Certification Test Results
You will receive the printed result of your exam immediately upon completion of the test. After successfully completing a certification test, Certiport will mail your official certificate within 2-3 weeks.

Advantages of IC3 - Internet & Computing Core Certification at LWIT
By passing this certification, students can satisfy a prerequisite or requirement for CISA 101- Fundamentals of Computer Applications. IC3 certification also demonstrates basic computer competency to employers.

Retakes
You may retake any or all parts of the test within 30 days of your last test. If you do not pass any part of the test twice - you must wait a minimum of seven (7) days before you may retest. All retakes must take place within 30 days of the last test.
IC3 Test Results
You will receive the printed result of your exam immediately upon completion of the test. After successfully completing a certification test, Certiport will mail your official certificate within 2-3 weeks.
Advantages of Adobe Certified Associate CS5
Obtaining Adobe certifications provides employers with validation of your skills. Our testing center offers certifications for Adobe Flash 8 and CS5, Dreamweaver 8 and CS4, and Photoshop CS5.

If you do not pass an exam, there is a mandatory waiting period of seven (7) days to re-test. There are no restrictions on the number of times you may retake a certification test.
