Award:

Criteria:
  • Admitted to an approved undergraduate or graduate institution in the Pacifica N.W.
  • Pursuing studies in human services, health care, education, public affairs or a related field
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Demonstrate strong academic aptitude
  • Are considered to be a minority student, based on race, ethnicity, religious affiliation or sexual orientation

AMERICAN DENTAL HYGIENISTS' ASSOCIATION INSTITUTE FOR ORAL HEALTH

Award: Range from $1000 - $2000
Criteria:
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited dental hygiene program in the United States.
  • Must have completed a minimum of one year in a dental hygiene curriculum. Students entering their first year of dental hygiene school are not eligible; students may be in the process of completing their first year when application is submitted.
  • Minimum GPA 3.0
  • Must be a full-time student during the academic year for which you are applying.

AMERICAN INDIAN ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP

Award: Multiple awards between $500 and $2000
Criteria:
  • Must have close social and cultural ties to an American Indian Tribe and/or community in Washington state
  • Be enrolled as a full-time student at an eligible public college in Washington by next fall term.
  • Statement of intent to use your education to return service to the state's American Indian community.
  • Requires three letters of recommendation. Two letters must verify applicant's social and cultural ties to an American Indian tribe or Native community within the state and one letter must address the applicant's character and commitment to return service to the state's American Indian community
  • High school, GED, and/or college transcripts, as applicable
  • Must demonstrate financial need based on completed FAFSA.

ASIAN & PACIFIC ISLANDER AMERICAN SCHOLARSHIP FUND

Award: APIASF scholarship awards can only be used to cover the cost of attendance. This may include tuition, fees, books, supplies, living expenses, and meals. The cost of attendance is calculated differently per college.
Criteria:
  • Be of Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity as defined by the U.S. Census
  • Be a citizen, national, or legal permanent resident of the United States
