What is the Remote Access Server?
Lake Washington Institute of Technology 's Remote Access Server enables staff to access X:/ drive, personal email folders, and other shared drives when away from campus.
Windows XP Users
Non Windows XP Users
If your computer does not have Windows XP as the operating system, you will have to download, unzip and run the following application to have it add the Remote Desktop Connection to your Windows.
(Windows XP comes with this already built in under Programs\Accessories\Communications)

Download this first if you don't have Windows XP (document is currently being re-written)
For all other operating systems you need to install this small program to insert the Remote Desktop Connection utility into the same place. This will enable the Remote Access Server for those not already running Windows XP.
After downloading and unzipping the link above, open the folder and doubleclick SETUP.
