Advisers

Assessment Center

The Assessment Center at Lake Washington Institute of Technology is dedicated to providing quality testing and assessment services to our students, faculty, staff, and the community.

Basic Food, Employment, and Training

The Basic Food, Employment, & Training (BFET) program is a federally funded program designed to support students who are receiving food stamps.

Budget Services

LWIT Budget Services handles the development and implementation of the college budget and prepares financial reports.

Business Office

LWIT Business Office oversees the financial operations of the college.

College Advancement

The College Advancement department encompasses a range of programs and services dedicated to developing a positive public image and to building lasting and beneficial relationships with all college constituencies.

Continuing Education

Our instructors' expert-level skill and experience are central to Continuing Education's practical, hands-on courses and training programs. Training is offered on-campus or brought directly to you through cost-effective, on-site training tailored to your organization's needs.

Contract Training

LWIT recognizes the importance of training and lifelong learning for employees in order for business and industry to remain competitive in today's global market. Contract Training recognizes that each company is unique and therefore has different and very specific needs.

Counseling

Lake Washington Institute of Technology offers appointments with a professional counselor for free, short-term personal counseling (usually 3-5 sessions). Community resources, advocacy and referrals can also be accessed.

Disability Support Services

Lake Washington Institute of Technology provides full support services to all students with disabilities in compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.

e-Learning

LWIT's e-Learning classes occur out of the classroom through a variety of delivery forms, including audio, video, internet, or other electronic means.

Employment Resource Center

Lake Washington Institute of Technology's Employment Resource Center provides quality career exploration, job search assistance, and employment resources to students, alumni and community members in order to assist them in reaching their educational and career goals.

Facilities & Operations

The Facilities Department is dedicated to providing an attractive, clean, accessible, safe and well planned educational environment to facilitate campus activities, promote conservation, and sustainable practices and support the mission and goals of the College.

Facility Rentals

LWIT's Facility Rentals offers reasonable rates for meeting facilities to businesses, professional groups or service club organizations. Choose from an auditorium, multi-service room, or a classroom. Audio/visual services are available.

Financial Aid Office

Dates, deadlines, and necessary information as it relates to applying for financial aid.

Global Programs & Partnerships

Global Programs & Partnerships develops and maintains relationships with overseas colleges and educational institutions, and provides programs for international students.

Grants Development

The Grants Development Office provides leadership and guidance in preparing and submitting grant proposals from all areas of the college.

High School Programs

Lake Washington Institute of Technology has been providing options to high school age students for many years. We would love to talk with you about your future and help you select the most appropriate program based on your individual goals and needs.

Human Resources will help you find information on jobs, benefits, and other application as well as employment info. We're also here to support our current employees on information, benefits, professional development, processes, and more.

Information Technology Services

The Information Technology Services department provides solutions to technological difficulties to LWIT staff and students.

Office of Instruction

The Office of Instruction is located in the East Building, Room E221. Hours of operation are 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Outcomes Assessment

Students come to college for a variety of reasons. Regardless of the reason, the goal of Lake Washington Institute of Technology is to offer its students an education, including general skills and knowledge, critical for success in life as well as the technical skills to become employed in their chosen field.

Teaching Learning Center

The Teaching Learning Center provides employees encouragement and support in fostering professional development and continuing enhancement of teaching and learning skills.

TRiO

Federal TRiO programs are educational opportunity programs designed to motivate and support students from disadvantaged backgrounds. TRiO includes six outreach and support programs targeted to serve and assist low-income, first generation college students, and students with disabilities to progress from middle school to post baccalaureate programs.

Workplace Skills

The Workplace Skills Program provides basic skills customized for the needs of specific workplaces and workers. Instruction occurs at the workplace wherever possible and is linked to other training or organizational activities.
