The Opportunity Grant Scholarship
The Opportunity Grant Scholarship is a grant program from the state of Washington. It is designed to help low income students in high demand pathways reach their educational and employment goals. Students in the Opportunity Grant program may receive:

Tuition and fees for up to 45 credits or up to 3 years, which ever comes first.

Up to $1,000.00 per academic year for books and related supplies.

Support services, academic advising, and career planning from an Opportunity Grant advisor.

Referral to tutoring, counseling, disability support and other services as needed.
Do I Qualify?
You may qualify for the Opportunity Grant if you meet the following criteria:
Low Income
Low income as determined by the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).

Washington Resident
To be eligible, you must have lived in Washington State for at least 1 year. Documentation may be required.
No prior college degree
Overall quarterly GPA of at least a 2.0 or higher in all OG eligible programs. Pre-Nursing requires an overall quarterly GPA of a 3.0 or higher. Occupational Therapy Assistant program requires a 3.0 in each of the required program pre-requisites.
Opportunity Grant students must take a minimum of 10 credits per quarter, as well as comply with the guidelines listed on the OG Student Contract.
Waitlist
Due to limited availablity of funds, there is currently a waitlist for the Opportunity Grant scholarship. In order to determine eligibility for the OG scholarship and be added to the waitlist, please complete the OG Eligibility Checklist and the OG Application. As the Opportunity Grant is a scholarship and has limited funds, being added to the waitlist does not guarentee that you will receive an OG award.
