Base Tuition Waiver
LWIT will waive 25% of base tuition (excluding supplemental fees) for the following veteran classifications:

Active or reserve member of military, naval, or National Guard called to active duty. Served in active federal duty under either Title 10 or Title 32 of the U.S. Code in a war or conflict fought on foreign soil or in international waters, or served in support of those that were (serving on foreign soil or in international waters). If discharged, has received an honorable discharge.

Child and spouse of eligible veteran or National Guard member who has become totally disabled or was a prisoner of war or missing in action or who lost his or her life.

Other Military or Naval Veterans qualify for the 25% waiver, even if they did not serve in a war or conflict fought on foreign soil or international waters, or served in support of those that were serving on foreign soil or international waters. Note: This section includes only military or naval veterans. It does not include National Guard Members.
Please provide a copy of your DD-214 to the Enrollment Service Office for determination of eligibility. The Enrollment Service Office is located in the West Building, W201.
Required Steps for All Students Seeking Veteran Educational Assistance:

Apply for Admission to Lake Washington Institute of Technology.

New Veterans who have not applied for VA Education Benefits, must complete the VA Form 22-1990, "Application for VA Education Benefits". This form is available at the GI Bill website.

Veterans who have received GI Bill benefits at another college must complete VA Form 22-1995,“Request for Change of Program or Place of Training”. This form is available at the GI Bill website.

Choose an eligible degree or certificate program at LWIT.

Submit official transcripts for all colleges and military training received after high school. Please give copies of transcripts to the Enrollment Services Office at Lake Washington Institute of Technology.

Register for classes at Lake Washington Institute of Technology.
