The annual commencement ceremony is an ongoing tradition to celebrate the academic successes and accomplishments of Lake Washington Institute of Technology graduates. Administrators, faculty, and staff all work to ensure this event is a memorable time for all graduates. To learn more about requirements for attendance, receiving your diploma, and details related to the ceremony, see the information to the left.
Commencement is coordinated by the Student Programs office and lasts about an hour and a half. If you do not see information you need listed at the left, please contact (425) 739-8314 or email the office with your questions.
There is a difference between applying for graduation and attending the commencement ceremony. Students must complete two separate processes.
All students needing to graduate (have final grades posted to their transcript to receive their degree/certificate) must complete the Application for Degree or Certificate, available from Enrollment Services, West Building, W201. All students wishing to attend the commencement ceremony must complete the Commencement Registration form.
Academy students may attend the College Commencement ceremony, and the Academy Graduation. For information regarding the Academy Graduation, visit High School Programs.
The ceremony is open to students receiving an: Bachelor's degree, Associate degrees, Certificate of Completion or Proficiency, as well as those completing GED requirements during Summer Quarter 2013 through Summer Quarter 2014. Students completing during Fall Quarter 2014 may participate in the subsequent commencement ceremony (2015).
