Connecting and meeting new people, through student community building, is a great way to learn leadership skills, improve your experience at Lake Washington Institute of Technology, and help connect others. New student chartered clubs are chartered through the Associated Student Government chartering process. However, after a club is chartered, they are not required to fill out all the paperwork again. When coming back for a subsequent quarter, or intermittent quarter, and wanting to be a group again, all clubs must provide Student Programs with the following:
an updated club officer/member list
a signed advisor agreement; but only once per year if your advisor is the same person
a list of activities for the quarter; which could include fundraisers, meetings, or events
the quarterly report form; only due the second quarter of activity
constitution update, if any changes have been made
Each are turned into the ASG Public Relations Officer for approval. Approval is contingent upon completed paperwork. Once approved, your group will receive the quarterly operating stipend of $300.00. This amount has been approved by the ASG Budget Committee. However, this quarterly operating funding is only available until the fifth (5th) week of any quarter the group turns in paperwork. Any club may turn in paperwork any week of the quarter, but funding is only until the 5th week of the quarter.
If you need any assistance with completing paperwork visit E128. All paperwork is due quarterly.
If your group would like additional funding, for a larger event or possible travel, learn about other funding opportunities through ASG.
