CLEP

Lake Washington Institute of Technology is a National Open Center for the computer-based College Level Examination Program (CLEP) exam.

EMT Pretest

Lake Washington Institute of Technology no longer offers EMT testing or the EMT program.

COMPASS Placement Test

The COMPASS placement test is required for enrollment in English, math, at many technical and academic classes. Students pursuing a degree or certificate must take this test before enrolling.

General Education Development

The GED® test is a four-subject (Science, Social Studies, and Mathematical Reasoning, and Reasoning through Language Arts) high school equivalency test that measures skills required by high schools and requested by colleges and employers.

IC3 Key Applications Test

The IC3 Key Applications Test satisfies the CISA 101 / BAS 101 (Computer Applications) program prerequisite for the Medical Assisting, Funeral Service Education, and Accounting programs. It may be substituted for CISA 101 / BAS 101 in other programs of study.

Keyboarding Test

Lake Washington Institute of Technology offers the Keyboarding test. Please contact the Assessment Center to schedule an appointment.

MOS 2010 / IC3 / Adobe CS6

LWTech is an authorized certification testing center for Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) 2010, Internet and Computing Core Certification, and ACA Adobe CS6 Certifications

Test of Essential Academic Skills

The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) is required as part of the admission process for the Dental Hygiene, Nursing, and other Allied Health programs.

Remote TEAS Testing

If you live outside of Washington state or the regional area, you may arrange to take the TEAS test remotely at another college testing center.

Test Proctoring

Lake Washington Institute of Technology offers proctoring services for LWTech students and for distance learning students from other colleges and universities.

WAOL Proctoring

Students are advised to schedule a WAOL Proctoring appointment 2 to 4 weeks in advance due to holidays, test volumes, or academic assessment deadlines.
