The Washington College
(WCG) formerly known
as as the State Need Grant
provides needs-based financial aid to income-eligible students pursuing postsecondary education If you you are a a a a a a Washington state resident you you can
apply for for the the WCG by filling out the the Free Application for for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) If you are a a a non-citizen low- income student you may be eligible to receive this grant if you meet meet the WCG eligibility requirements and also meet meet the following criteria:
• Graduated (or will graduate before beginning college) from a a a a a Washington state high school or obtained a a a a a GED diploma or certificate • Lived in in Washington state for three years prior to to and continuously since earning a a a high school diploma or equivalent • Students
may also apply for state aid if they are a a Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) student and meet regular Washington state residency requirements Students
who meet the criteria above and are unable to to file a a a a FAFSA due to to immigration status can
