No. If you have taken all the prerequisites, you can complete the Dental Hygiene BAS online application and submit it by the deadline. Students are strongly recommended to review all materials on both the Dental Hygiene and Dental Advising Webpages.
Email addresses are usually in the format s-first.lastname@lwtech.edu, but if you have a common name it may different; we encourage you to check with Enrollment Services at (425) 739-8100.
The application will close on the published deadline no earlier than 10 p.m.
There is no limit to how many times a student can apply to the program.
Please email selective.admission@lwtech.edu if you have questions about why you were not admitted. Admission staff can review your points to see if there may be an area where you can improve your score. On average we receive 100 applications and only have space for 30 students. Unfortunately, you can be a great candidate, but still not get in.
It will be a mix of morning and afternoon hours. This is considered a full-time program and you may find it difficult to work while enrolled in the program.
Yes.
Please email Selective Admissions and let us know the status of your recommendations. Not following recommendation instructions will cause your application to be considered incomplete.
There is not a waitlist. If you don’t get in, you may try again the following year, but you must resubmit the online application again. Please check for any updates on the Dental Hygiene web page. In the rare situation when an accepted student decides not to attend, we will contact the applicant with the next highest points to offer them a space in the program.

Yes. Please have that college send your official e-transcript to admissions@lwtech.edu. More information about sending your electronic transcript is available on our website.
Advisors cannot guarantee that a course from another institution will count towards the pre-requisites for a competitive admission program.
ALL students must submit an official transcript to the college for evaluation to receive official confirmation that the course they are transferring in meets the requirements.
To learn more about transferring courses to LWTech, visit the Transferring to LWTech webpage.
Evaluation results will be available 2-4 weeks after the receipt of official transcripts. The total number of credits transferred in and the institution from which the credits were transferred will be posted to your LWTech transcript.

Yes, if you supplied both, we will email you at both addresses.
You can submit your application first and send your transcript as soon as possible afterward. Selective Admissions will evaluate what you have, but they will not call you or follow up with you about your transcript. All transcripts must be received by the application deadline to be considered.
You must contact each separate college and request the official transcripts. Do not rely on one college to send them all. They only send the transcript from that individual college.
Science courses have a 7 year time limit from the application deadline. Non-science courses do not have a time limit.
