NOTE: Unfortunately, due to the spread of COVID-19 in Washington State and the preventative measures the government and public health officials have advised the public to take, MSSDC has decided to cancel SOCC for this year.
The next SOCC will be on April 15-17, 2021.
The Students of Color Conference is an annual event hosted by the Multicultural Student Services Directors’ Council (MSSDC), a state-wide consortium of community and technical college multicultural directors. Each year, more than 800 students from colleges across Washington State come together at SOCC to develop leadership skills and strategies for self-empowerment.
To be considered for participation, interested students must complete an application. If selected, students will receive a full scholarship to cover the costs of attending the conference including: registration fees, transportation to and from the conference, meals during the conference, and lodging.
Applications for the 2020 Students of Color Conference are currently available. Interested students are encouraged to apply online (below) or pick up an application at the RISE Center. Contact Audry Bernal, firstname.lastname@example.org , for more information.
