The Lake Washington Institute of Technology (LWTech) Health Sciences AAS-T degree prepares students for various healthcare related training programs with strong knowledge and skills in college-level academics such as math, English, natural sciences, humanities, and social science. Students in this program will be prepared to apply for selective admissions to LWTech's Health Sciences programs or applied baccalaureate programs at other universities.
The Health Sciences AAS-T degree is designed to provide students with professional certificates in Health Science areas, such as nursing, dental hygiene, physical therapist assistant, public health, funeral services, and dental assisting; or to provide skills to students who have general education credits but no professional training.

Lake Washington Institute of Technology does not offer every course each quarter. It is the student's responsibility to consult the Class Schedule and work out an individual schedule with an advisor or counselor. Any developmental coursework a student might be required to complete may increase the program length.
Lake Washington Institute of Technology is proud of the many pathway options our students have to complete an Applied Bachelor’s degree, both at LWTech, and at in-state universities and colleges. All degrees, whether DTA/MRP, AAS-T or AAS, can fulfill transfer requirements at multiple institutions thanks to the articulation (transfer) agreements between LWTech and the transfer college.
