Undergraduate research at Lake Washington Institute of Technology (LWTech) is a critical part of the academic experience that helps prepare students for today’s careers and tomorrow’s opportunities. Students who engage in undergraduate research are able to make original contributions to a research project, scholarship, or creative work, while also developing a variety of skills that employers value.
Opportunities for undergraduate research at LWTech span a variety of academic disciplines, taking many forms and benefiting students regardless of their major. Undergraduate researchers are encouraged to participate in the Annual Applied Research Symposium, where they can present their research findings and applied projects to the campus community. Students will also have the opportunity to learn more about the scientific method, principles of engineering and design research, and much more in the forthcoming Applied Research Course.
