Located just outside of Seattle in Kirkland, Washington, the Dental Clinic at Lake Washington Institute of Technology (LWTech) offers quality dental care to the general public. The clinic is staffed by dental professionals that include licensed dentists, licensed dental hygienists, certified dental assistants, and students serving your oral health care needs.

Appointments

Please be advised that new adult patient exams are by appointment and usually take two to three visits. Initial cleaning appointments may take one to four visits. Restorative appointments range from one to three hours.

Our restorative appointments (fillings, root canals, crowns and bridges) may need to be scheduled months ahead of time due to the number of patients we see. Sometimes extractions and root canals will be referred to another facility in order to complete them in a timely manner.

Please plan to arrive early to update your health history, if needed, and make any changes in address, phone number or insurance. Also bring your insurance card or current DSHS card with you.

The clinic is able to take emergencies on a limited case-by-case basis.

Inclement Weather Policy

The college may have a delayed start or close due to inclement weather. Delayed and closure information is posted to the college homepage. It is also posted on its social media channels. The clinic policy for closure or late start is as follows:

Closure:
  • The clinic is closed, when the college closes.
Delayed/Late Start:
  • If there is a late start on a morning half day, the clinic will seat patients at 10 a.m.
  • If there is a late start on a full day clinic (a.m./p.m.), then we cancel the morning clinic and start the afternoon clinic on time.

Dental Clinic Policies

Our goal is to provide student dental education and for our patients to receive quality dental care. To ensure efficiency, we have created policies to enhance and protect the dental clinic:

  • Payment is required at the time of service. We accept cash, checks, and VISA, MasterCard or American Express for your payment convenience.
  • A strict cancellation policy is adhered to due to students clinical requirements. We require notice at least 24 hours before your dental appointment to re-schedule it.
  • A parent or a guardian must accompany all patients under the age of 18 and stay on site during the treatment.
  • As a courtesy, we submit insurance claims on your behalf. However be aware that you are ultimately responsible for any fees incurred. You are responsible to bring in all needed information and to advise us when that information has changed.
