There are several tutoring resources at LWTech that provide options for getting help in your classes including Supplemental Instruction, drop-in tutoring, eTutoring, and TRIO tutoring (for eligible students). Read more about these support services, access their webpages, and find direct links to their schedules below.
Supplemental Instruction (SI) targets specific high-impact courses with peer-facilitated group study sessions. For most of the courses we target, the facilitators are embedded in the classes they support, and can provide assistance during class-time for group projects and in-class assignments. Facilitators lead scheduled group study sessions weekly for the students in the courses they support, either on campus or through Microsoft Teams for online and hybrid courses.
The Learning Lab is a drop-in tutoring center that supports all LWTech students in general education courses such as English, math, natural science, social science, pre-requisites, and select program classes. The Learning Lab offers free drop-in tutoring from faculty, staff, and certified tutors to support students in understanding course concepts and accessing resources.
No appointment needed.
eTutoring is available to all LWTech students on Canvas.
Students can access eTutoring through any current Canvas course. The link is located
at the bottom of the navigation list in each Canvas course. Please visit the eTutoring schedule for a list of classes available for tutoring.
If you have trouble accessing the eTutoring portal, please contact IT Services Helpdesk or call (425) 739-8603.

TRIO at LWTech provides academic and support services to students who are low-income, first generation, or students with disabilities. We encourage students to complete their degree or certificate and transfer to a four-year college if possible. LWTech students who are TRIO participants may receive one hour of scheduled tutoring per class per week for most general education classes.
