Lake Washington Institute of Technology (LWTech) has recognized Anne Hamilton with the designation of Trustee Emeritus, honoring her years of service to the college and the communities it serves.
Hamilton was appointed to the board by Governor Jay Inslee in 2014. During her tenure she served as board chair and founded the Trustees' Persistence Scholarship, which is awarded through the LWTech Foundation. The scholarship supports students facing financial, academic, or personal obstacles on their path to completion.
“Trustee Hamilton was, and continues to be, a strong advocate for our students and college,” said LWTech President Dr. Amy Morrison. We are grateful for her continued support through the Trustees’ Persistence Scholarship, which will help students complete their education for many years to come.”
The Trustee Emeritus designation reflects the college's appreciation for Hamilton's contributions and allows her to remain a valued part of the LWTech community in an honorary capacity. Hamilton joins Darrell Mitsunaga and Bruce Reid as Trustees Emeriti.
