Two LWTech Students Named 2026 Phi Theta Kappa All-Washington Academic Team

Two students from the Lake Washington Institute of Technology, Fabrianne Handoko and Daria Yelenets were named 2026 Phi Theta Kappa All-Washington Academic Team.

Handoko, a student in LWTech’s Nursing program, is dedicated to building strong communities and helping others. They are working toward professional certification and plan to pursue a bachelor’s degree. Handoko aims to provide patient care rooted in empathy, compassion, and a patient-first approach.

Yelenets, a Digital Gaming and Interactive Media student, discovered a passion for art early in life and plans to pursue a career as a 3D artist creating game characters. She intends to transfer to a four-year program after completing her associate degree. After relocating to the United States from Ukraine during the war, Yelenets developed resilience, strong work ethic, and leadership skills. She has also received an additional scholarship from WSECU.

The All-Washington Academic Team program showcases Washington’s community and technical colleges by honoring academic high achievers who have shown a commitment to success both in the classroom and the communities in which they live. This recognition also demonstrates the state’s commitment to scholarship and community service on the part of those attending the state’s public community and technical colleges. To qualify, recipients must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and community engagement, and be nominated by their college.

Congratulations to our 2026 Phi Theta Kappa All-Washington Academic Team!
