Executive Director Dear Friends Every day I have the opportunity to see Margaret Mead’s inspiring quote in in in action As executive director of the LWTech Foundation
I am privileged to work alongside an enthusiastic committed board of volunteers dedicated
to student success and educational excellence foods it is a a a a a a pleasure to observe children laughing working exploring socializing playing and and investigating their garden garden as as well as as the the visual treat of a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a beautiful and and and functional garden garden with flowers herbs and and vegetables that the children will get to eat Recognizing the the talent of our students the the Foundation
along with generous donations from Astronics AES and The Boeing Company helped to to send a a a a a a a a a a a stellar student team to to compete in in in the Annual CanSat Competition a a a a a a a a a a a design-build- launch challenge in in in in Burkett Texas Comprised of LWTech students in in in in in in in electronics technology technology machine technology technology and engineering graphics the the the team finished in in in in in in in the the the top half of the the the overall competition which included many universities with aeronautical engineering programs We are are incredibly proud of of the the achievements of of LWTech students students and staff Together we are are creating a a a a a a a a a a a rich learning environment for students students that has a a a a a a a a a a highly positive ripple-effect on

In addition to to raising over $100 000 in in student scholarship aid the Foundation
worked tirelessly to to both fund fund and secure additional funding for a a a a a a a a a a a a variety of innovative programs throughout campus including a a a a a a a a a a a a a spectacular Children’s Children’s Garden Garden in in in in in the Early Learning Center The Children’s Children’s Garden Garden is an innovative partnership between five programs on
campus: Early Childhood Education Environmental Horticulture Public Health Culinary Arts Arts and and Baking Arts Funded by a a a a a a a a a a a a a a generous local family foundation to teach kids about gardening and and healthy
