Lake Washington Institute of Technology (LWTech) recently discovered that it was the victim of a data breach incident. With the privacy and security of our organization, its students, faculty, staff, and other community members who trust and rely on us as our priority, we took quick and thorough steps to secure our systems and activate additional cybersecurity protocols. Additional information about this incident can be a found on the 🔗Data Security Incident Page.
TLR is an online time and leave reporting program for LWTech employees.
The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), a federal law, requires records be kept on total hours worked each day and each workweek for employees in overtime eligible positions to determine when they’re eligible to receive overtime compensation. Options were for all employees to complete positive time reports or move to the online TLR.
The Human Resources Department determines the overtime eligibility status for all positions based on criteria established by the U.S. Department of Labor.
All overtime eligible staff must use TLR to report hours worked and leave taken. Exempt staff must use TLR to report leave taken. This does not include part-time faculty (PTF) unless you have an additional hourly job. Only the hours worked for your hourly job will be processed through TLR.
You can access the TLR Login here.
You will need a Student Identification Number (SID), and PIN to access your TLR page. Contact Payroll Services (425) 739-8214 or Human Resources (425) 739-8212 for SID/PIN assistance.
You can use any computer with internet access. Campus options include eLearning and the Library.
Yes. All college employees must have a college e-mail account. This is how you will receive notices about TLR processes.
For the most part, yes. However, revisions or corrections to time and leave previously processed will require a hard copy Time Report.
Note: You must include the reason for the leave taken in the Remarks section (except for vacation, personal and sick). Payroll will reject leave submitted without a remark.
You must submit your TLR by the 15th and 30th/31st of each month. If this is a regular day off or weekend, submit your record on your last working day before the deadline. Check the payroll calendar for specific dates.
Supervisors – You must submit your TLR approvals by the following day.
When you electronically submit the TLR, it will go to your supervisor. Your supervisor will then approve and submit it to Payroll Services.
Note: When the timesheet is “In Process” status, the employee (you) has responsibility to submit it. Failure to submit a timesheet may cause a delay in pay or inaccurate reporting of leave balances.
If your timesheet is rejected for any reason, you must correct your hours or leave and resubmit it to your supervisor again for approval.
No, all employees will have the same pay periods of the 1st – 15th and the 16th – last day of the month.
Yes. TLR will have a 3-month period open for reporting. However, Payroll will not process it until the appropriate pay period.
No. You must still submit your Time and Effort reports.
If you have not previously submitted your TLR for the pay period, click the down arrow shown next to the current pay period and a window will open with a list of available pay periods you can select.
