The Lake Washington Institute of Technology Board of Trustees provide leadership through policy governance of the college. Meetings are held each month in the Boardroom (West Building, W305A) on LWTech's Kirkland Campus, unless otherwise noted. All Board of Trustees meetings are open to the public, and the college community is always welcome.

Anne Hamilton was appointed to the Lake Washington Institute of Technology Board of Trustees in 2013. She served as Board Chair from 2015-2016, and also currently serves as the Board Chair from October 2020 - present. She is currently a principal program manager in the Azure Engineering team at Microsoft. She previously worked as a vice president of Content Strategy at Codio. In her volunteer work, she has served as a curriculum adviser for Leadership Eastside, as president and board member for the LWTech Foundation, as a Microsoft loaned executive to United Way of King County, and as a convener for the Kirkland Nourishing Network. She holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in English literature and Native American studies from Colgate University.
Dr. Lynette Jones was appointed to the Lake Washington Institute of Technology Board of Trustees in 2009. She served as Chair from 2010-2011 and 2016-2017. Trustee Jones retired from a career in clinical informatics . She is the former Director of Clinical Informatics at Evergreen Hospital, and is an active member of HIMSS. She holds a Doctorate of Philosophy from the School of Nursing at the University of Washington, a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA), Executive MBA program from the University of Washington, a Master’s of Health Administration/Public Administration from Portland State University, a Master’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Oregon Health Sciences Center, and is a John A. Hartford MBA Scholar. Trustee Jones is also an author and public speaker.
Robert Malte was appointed to the Lake Washington Institute of Technology Board of Trustees in 2018. He is currently a Clinical Associate Professor and the Practitioner- in- Residence at the University of Washington’s Masters of Health Administration (MHA) program. He is CEO Emeritus of EvergreenHealth in Kirkland Washington, after having served as its CEO from 2010-2018. Prior to that, he was president & CEO of Exempla Lutheran Medical Center in Wheat Ridge Co. from 2003-2010.
In his volunteer work, Bob is presently a member of the Kirkland Performance Center Board and a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity. He has previously served on the Washington State Hospital Association Board, the First Choice Health Board, and the Greater Kirkland Chamber of Commerce Board. He also served on the Seattle Executive Steering Committee for the American Heart and Stroke Association Heart Walk and on the Denver-Metro YMCA Board of Trustees in Denver Co.
He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Ripon College and his MBA from The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. In 2016, he was awarded an honorary Bachelors of Applied Science degree in Public Health from Lake Washington Institute of Technology.
Darrell S. Mitsunaga was appointed to the Lake Washington Institute of Technology Board of Trustees in 2010. He was reappointed in 2015, and served as Board Chair from 2013-2014 and 2018-2019. Trustee Mitsunaga is an Attorney at Law and founding partner of Johns Monroe Mitsunaga Kolouskova, PLLC, a real estate development, land use, and construction law firm based in Bellevue, Wash. He is a former partner of the Reed McClure law firm. Trustee Mitsunaga holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Political Science from the University of Utah, and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Washington. He is a member of the Asian Bar Association of Washington, the King County Bar Association, the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties, and the Washington State Bar Association.
Laura Wildfong was appointed to the Lake Washington Institute of Technology Board of Trustees in 2017, and served as Board Chair from 2019-2020. Trustee Wildfong previously served as a Board member of the LWTech Foundation Board of Directors from 2012-2017, as Vice President from 2015-2016 and President from 2016-2017. She served on the LWTech Foundation Scholarship Committee from 2013-2016, and has served as an Advisory Committee member for LWTech’s Environmental Horticulture program since 2012. She is also a member of LWTech’s President’s Advisory Council. Trustee Wildfong owns and operates Northwest Nurseries Incorporated Wholesale Nursery in Kirkland, Wash. She previously worked as a Program Manager in Systems Management Server and Visual Studio, Developer Division at the Microsoft Corporation. Trustee Wildfong holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science from Evergreen State College.
