The Lake Washington Institute of Technology Board of Trustees provide leadership through
policy governance of the college. Meetings are held on the second Monday of each month
(September through June) in the Boardroom (West Building, W305A) on LWTech's Kirkland Campus, unless otherwise noted. All Board of Trustees meetings
are open to the public, and the college community is always welcome.

Anne Hamilton was appointed to the Lake Washington Institute of Technology Board of Trustees in 2013, and served as Board Chair from 2015-2016. She is currently a principal program manager in the Azure Engineering team at Microsoft. She previously worked as a Vice President of Content Strategy at Codio. In her volunteer work she has served as a curriculum adviser for Leadership Eastside, as president and board member for the LWTech Foundation, as a Microsoft loaned executive to United Way of King County, and as a convener for the Kirkland Nourishing Network. She holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in English literature and Native American studies from Colgate University.
Dr. Lynette D. Jones was appointed to the Lake Washington Institute of Technology Board of Trustees in 2009. She served as Chair from 2010-2011 and 2016-2017. Trustee Jones is currently a Clinical Informatics Consultant, and founder and Chair of Point and of CareWare.com. She is the former Director of Clinical Informatics at Evergreen Hospital, and is an active member of HIMSS. She holds a Doctorate of Philosophy from the School of Nursing at the University of Washington, a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA), Executive MBA program from the University of Washington, a Master’s of Health Administration/Public Administration from Portland State University, a Master’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Oregon Health Sciences Center, and is a John A. Hartford MBA Scholar. Trustee Jones is also an author and public speaker.
Robert (Bob) Malte was appointed to the Lake Washington Institute of Technology Board of Trustees in 2018. He is the CEO Emeritus of EvergreenHealth in Kirkland, Wash., serving as its CEO for more than eight years. During his tenure at EvergreenHealth, Trustee Malte was responsible for the leadership of all aspects of EvergreenHealth’s purpose, mission and vision. He retired as CEO in August 2018 to pursue a long-held aspiration to teach healthcare management at the graduate level. He recently joined the faculty of UW’s Masters of Health Administration (MHA) program as a Clinical Associate Professor and Practitioner in Residence.
In addition to serving as a Trustee for LWTech, Malte has served on several area boards, including the Washington State Hospital Association Board on which he recently completed his term as Chair, the First Choice Health Board, and the Greater Kirkland Chamber of Commerce Board. He also served on the Seattle Executive Steering Committee for the American Heart and Stroke Association Heart Walk, including being co-chair for the 2016 Heart Walk.
Trustee Malte earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Ripon College and his MBA from The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. In 2016, he was awarded an honorary Bachelors of Applied Science degree in Public Health from Lake Washington Institute of Technology.
Darrell S. Mitsunaga was appointed to the Lake Washington Institute of Technology Board of Trustees in 2010. He was reappointed 2015, and served as Board Chair from 2013-2014. Trustee Mitsunaga is an Attorney at Law and founding partner of Johns Monroe Mitsunaga Kolouskova, PLLC, a real estate development, land use, and construction law firm based in Bellevue, Wash. He is a former partner of the Reed McClure law firm. Trustee Mitsunaga holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Political Science from the University of Utah, and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Washington. He is a member of the Asian Bar Association of Washington, the King County Bar Association, the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties, and the Washington State Bar Association.
Laura Wildfong was appointed to the Lake Washington Institute of Technology Board of Trustees in 2017. Trustee Wildfong previously served as a Board member of the LWTech Foundation Board of Directors from 2012-2017, as Vice President from 2015-2016 and President from 2016-2017. She served on the LWTech Foundation Scholarship Committee from 2013-2016, and has served as an Advisory Committee member for LWTech’s Environmental Horticulture program since 2012. Trustee Wildfong owns and operates Northwest Nurseries Incorporated Wholesale Nursery in Kirkland, Wash. She previously worked as a Program Manager in Systems Management Server and Visual Studio, Developer Division at the Microsoft Corporation. Trustee Wildfong is currently on the board of WALP, Washington Association of Landscape Professionals, King County. Trustee Wildfong holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science from Evergreen State College.
