2024-2025 Board of Trustees Members
Elisa Graceffo was appointed to the Board of Trustees at Lake Washington Institute of Technology in 2024. She is passionate about transforming how people work and learn through technology, currently serving as the General Manager of the Learning Lab at Microsoft Worldwide Learning. With over 20 years at Microsoft, she has led numerous content development and product management teams, all focused on empowering individuals and organizations to effectively adopt and utilize Microsoft technologies. Under her leadership, the Learning Lab is pioneering innovative approaches to education for the AI-powered workforce, delivering learning and credentialing experiences in AI, Copilot, Cloud, and Security.
In addition to her professional work, Elisa is deeply involved in advocacy and fundraising for Type 1 diabetes research. After her oldest daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, Elisa joined the Board of Directors of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) Northwest Chapter. She and her husband, Greg, formed “Team Juliana” to raise money through events like the annual “Beat the Bridge to Beat Diabetes” walk.
Elisa holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame as well as an MBA from The Wharton School.
Randy Scott was appointed to the Lake Washington Institute of Technology Board of Trustees in 2022. He currently serves as a Fire Officer with the City of Kirkland.
Hailing from Los Angeles, California, Trustee Scott relocated to Washington to pursue opportunities to become a firefighter. In addition to his over 25 years of experience with the City of Kirkland, he was the Secretary/Treasurer for the Kirkland Fire Fighters Union for more than 20 years. Trustee Scott also served as the Chairperson for the City of Kirkland's Employee Diversity Committee, and graduated in the Class of 2017 from Leadership Eastside. Trustee Scott brings his union leadership experience, commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, and experience as a non-traditional student to his role as a trustee for the college.
Trustee Scott received a BA in Clinical Psychology from Saint Leo University in Florida, and recently completed his master's degree in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Northwest University.
John Suk was appointed to the Board of Trustees at Lake Washington Institute of Technology in 2021, and serves as the Board Chair for the 2023-2024 academic year. Currently the Vice President of HR Benefits, Inc., with the Washington Technology Industry Association (WTIA), John has held senior leadership roles throughout his career for companies like Microsoft, Verizon, Vodafone, GE Digital and others in the technology sector with a focus on overall customer relationship management, marketing and business development solutions for enterprise clients. John has also built and run high performing teams, leveraging his influence as a promoter focused on coaching and teamwork, across the U.S. and globally.
John's passions for giving back and sharing his talents in his communities are clearly apparent. He served on the board of directors of the WTIA six years where he was also the Board Chair for a two-year term. He also served and chaired Board Development and Audit committees for Prevent Child Abuse America (based in Chicago), as well as terms with Special Spectators and Alexian Brothers Hospital Network Foundation. John has coached 50+ seasons of sports teams as a WIAA certified basketball official and as a National Games Official for the Special Olympics.
John earned his Bachelor's degree in Marketing and Management from Indiana University, Bloomington, and his MBA from Ashland University.
Laura Wildfong was appointed to the Lake Washington Institute of Technology Board of Trustees in 2017, and served as Board Chair for the 2019-2020 and 2022-2023 academic years. Trustee Wildfong previously served as a Board member of the LWTech Foundation Board of Directors from 2012-2017, as Vice President from 2015-2016 and President from 2016-2017. She served on the LWTech Foundation Scholarship Committee from 2013-2016, and has served as an Advisory Committee member for LWTech's Environmental Horticulture program since 2012. She is also a member of LWTech's President's Advisory Council. Trustee Wildfong owns and operates Northwest Nurseries Incorporated Wholesale Nursery in Kirkland, Wash. She previously worked as a Program Manager in Systems Management Server and Visual Studio, Developer Division at the Microsoft Corporation. Trustee Wildfong holds a Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science from Evergreen State College.
