The I-BEST Culinary Arts certificate prepares students for a wide variety of first careers in the culinary arts and can prepare students with prior experience for promotions in professional kitchens. Students gain experience with stations of line cooking, inventory, production of daily specials, sauce preparation and basic butchering, as well as the basic function and structure of the cold kitchen. Culinary Arts students learn basic cooking principals, workplace vocabulary, and safe food handling practices. I-BEST Culinary Arts Certificate graduates can continue studying at LWTech to complete additional certificates in Baking Arts and/or a Culinary Arts Associate’s (AAS) degree.
