Accreditation

Lake Washington Institute of Technology is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities at the associate degree level and at the baccalaureate level.

Application Deadlines

Qualified students accepted on a rolling basis until the program is filled; early applications are encouraged by preferred deadline.

  • Quarter Start & Deadline:
    • Fall 2025
      • Deadline: August 26, 2025
      • Applications accepted on a rolling basis until August 25.

Applications submitted after the deadline will automatically be considered for the next quarter start.

Locating the Application

Beginning May 20, 2025, students must apply using the Rolling Admission Application.

Due to the shift in format this year, applicants will only receive communication via email and will not be able to check their application status.

Application Requirements

  • Applied Associate Degree, or equivalent, from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 2.0 GPA cumulative across all college coursework

Required Courses for Application

The following requirements must be met before filling out the admission application for the AM-E BAS program:

  • Completion of at least 15 credits of College-level General Education prerequisite courses from the list below with a minimum of a 2.0 GPA in each class:
    • English Composition: 5 credits (ENGL& 101 or equivalent)
    • Quantitative Reasoning: 5 credits (College level math course with Intermediate Algebra as a prerequisite or higher)
    • Social Sciences: 5 credits OR Humanities: 5 credits
  • Accepted students who have not passed BUS& 101 and ACCT& 201 with a 2.0 grade or better should take those courses before starting the BAS AM-E program
  • Students must have a minimum of 15 credits of the above courses completed at the time of admission. Students who have courses to complete at the time of admission may be admitted conditionally.
  • Official Transcripts documenting all prerequisite courses taken at a college other than LWTech must be sent to LWTech Enrollment Services office.

Transferring Credits To LWTech

Selective Admission Programs require Official Transcripts from every college where you took any required classes. If you have an International Transcript, we are happy to accept the Course-by-Course Evaluation from an evaluation agency.  You can find additional information on our Transferring to LWTech page.

Note: You do not need to request Official Transcripts if you took all your classes at LWTech.
