Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) The Commission on Dental Accreditation will review complaints that relate to a program’s
compliance with the accreditation standards. The Commission is interested in the sustained
quality and continued improvement of dental and dental-related education programs
but does not intervene on behalf of individuals or act as a court of appeal for individuals
in matters of admission, appointment, promotion or dismissal of faculty, staff, or
students. A copy of the appropriate accreditation standards and/or the Commission’s policy and
procedure for submission of complaints may be obtained by contacting the Commission

Bloodborne Pathogens Policy
The purpose of the Infectious Disease and Bloodborne Pathogens Policy is to minimize the potential for environmental hazards and transmission of infectious disease. LWTech Dental Programs are committed to defining and addressing issues related to infectious diseases to protect patients, students, faculty, staff and the rights of individuals who may have an infectious disease.

You can choose to enter the workforce after completing your dental assisting training or continue your education to expand your career options over time. Here are some examples of what that path can look like:
Start working after your certificate
Students must complete pre-requisites and apply to the BAS in Dental Hygiene program. If not accepted to the BAS, your credits can apply towards the Health Sciences AAS-T degree and other pathways in the Health Sciences field.

Students completing an LWTech bachelor’s degree may be eligible to pursue graduate programs if prerequisites for the chosen program are fulfilled. We encourage students to work with an advisor to plan their educational pathway and review transfer or graduate school requirements.
