Congratulations on your admission to LWTech! We're happy you're here.

On this page, you'll find instructions for transitioning from a newly admitted student to registering for classes and becoming part of our community of LWTech Lions!

There are three parts to this process:

  1. Activate your LWTech IT Accounts
  2. Assess your Placement Options
  3. Attend New Student Orientation

1. Activate your LWTech IT Accounts

Option 2: You have previously attended a Washington State Community and Technical College and already have a CTCLink ID number.

Okta is the easy-to-use dashboard where you can access the web-based tools you use regularly.

IMPORTANT: Your Okta password is different than the password you set up for LionsLink in steps 1 and 2. Follow the directions in the video or written directions to set-up your Okta password

Please note that there may be a short delay between the time you set up your LWTech password and when you can set up your Okta dashboard. If you receive an error message, please try again in a few minutes.

Prefer written instructions? Use the Okta Quick Guide.

Before you submit a help request, please take a moment to review the information on this page. Section 1 includes everything you need to get set up as a new student, including:

  • Step-by-step videos with screenshots

  • Linked written instructions for each step

  • Answers to the most common tech questions we receive

Many students find the solution right here, saving them time.

If you've carefully reviewed the instructions and still need support, fill out this form and we’ll get back to you.

2. Assess your Placement Options

After activating your LWTech IT accounts, you will assess your placement options.

Students come to LWTech with diverse academic skills and backgrounds. The course placement process helps your academic advisor identify appropriate English and Math levels for you. At LWTech, all first-quarter courses require prerequisites in Math and English.

To determine the best placement option for you, self-enroll in our free Math and English Placement Canvas Course to complete a placement survey:
