The Innovation Lab is physically located in the East Building of the LWTech campus. As a maker space, the Innovation Lab seeks to manifest innovative ideas into tangible designs and prototypes. To provide opportunities for students, faculty, and staff to engage collaboratively on multidisciplinary projects and research.
With creative collaboration between individuals from disparate backgrounds as our guiding value, our objective is to offer students, along with the entire LWTech community, opportunities for synergistic collaboration on real-life projects that will prepare all for leadership roles in this ever-changing world. Learning how to learn, after all, is what it takes to be able to adapt to a continuously transmuting technological environment. The Innovation Lab fosters a culture of exploration within an environment of freely flowing interdisciplinary associations. Innovative designs and technologies can emerge through a synergy of concrete, theoretical, and the predictive methods of research and development. Students and faculty are then empowered to be “sense-makers,” approaching real-world issues through a creative process of both thinking and doing.
