KIRKLAND, Wash. - Lake Washington Institute of Technology’s (LWTech) Transportation, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management program has been ranked the 11th most affordable supply chain management program in the U.S. by University Headquarters (UniversityHQ). This is the first time the college has been included in this ranking.
Albert Ames, associate dean of LWTech’s Bachelor’s of Applied Science in Transportation, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management (BASTLSCM) program said, “The standout features that differentiate are our program quality – low costs, regional accreditation and our faculty being comprised almost entirely of senior industry managers. In addition, the recent pandemic has proven the supply chain plays a critical role in making the lives of millions run more smoothly. This calls for producing more quality program graduates and well-trained professionals.”
LWTech’s Transportation, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management (TLSCM) program is designed for the working professional; classes are offered in a hybrid format, in person in the evening one night per week, and are taught by senior industry managers, many of whom are military veterans. Students in the TLSCM program can earn a Bachelor of Applied Science in Transportation, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management (BASTLSCM) and a Certificate of Completion in Business Management. The BAS degree typically takes two years of full-time study to complete.
Graduates from the TLSCM program are prepared to work as managers within companies that provide transportation or logistics services, warehousing, fleet maintenance, vehicle procurement or upgrades, transportation and logistics analyses, or sales and account management of logistics services. Graduates may also work as managers of individual proprietorships or small companies involved in vehicle and equipment sales, service, or ancillary industries such as component manufacturing or inventory control.
