Lake Washington Institute of Technology Board of Trustees Award Tenure To Nine Faculty Members

Kirkland, Wash. – The Board of Trustees of Lake Washington Institute of Technology (LWTech), has awarded tenure to nine faculty members: Dr. Barcin Acar, Dr. Cathy Zupke, Christine Turpin, Dr. Kimberly McClure, Michelle Judy, Dr. Narayani Choudhury, Dr. Sharon Raz, Sue Wozniak and Todd Bagaason.

Dr. Acar teaches General Education-Science courses and holds a Ph.D. from Oregon State University in Entomology. Dr. Zupke teaches Engineering and holds a Ph.D.  in Chemical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Turpin teaches General Education-Humanities courses and holds two master’s degrees in Journalism and Mass Communications and Graphic Design from Iowa State University. Dr. McClure teaches General Education-Science courses and holds a Ph.D. in Zoology from the University of Washington. Judy teaches General Education-Math courses and holds a Master’s in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from George Washington University. Dr. Choudhury teaches General Education-Math courses and holds a Ph.D.  in Interdisciplinary: Physics, Math and Computational Science from the University of Mumbai. Dr. Raz teaches General Education-Social Sciences courses and holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Haifa, Israel. Wozniak is a Faculty Librarian and holds a Master’s in Forest Ecology from Oregon State University and a Master’s in Library and Information Science from the University of Washington. Bagaason teaches Design and holds a Master’s of Fine Arts in Animation and Visual Effects from Academy of Art University. The LWTech Board of Trustees awarded tenure to the faculty members at their meeting on March 8.

They are passionate about what they teach and truly make a difference in the lives of our students,” said Dr. Amy Morrison, president of LWTech.
