Summer and Fall Quarter Classes

Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis, LWTech is offering a combination of online and on-campus classes for Summer and Fall quarter. This decision was made for the health and safety of students, faculty and staff. The College is relying on guidance from the Office of the Governor, Washington State Public Health, King County Public Health, and the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges.

COVID-19 Updates and Resources

Will students be allowed on campus during Summer and Fall quarters?

  • Students must attest their vaccination status to come to campus.
  • Students registered in specific section codes will be allowed on campus during Summer and Fall quarter, which can be viewed in the legend below.
  • Students will be permitted on campus during the scheduled lab days and times. Specific instructions will be sent to these students regarding protocols for their time on campus.
  • This is the current plan based on public health guidance. The college may change these rules depending on the changing nature of the pandemic. Students enrolled in these classes should be prepared to be flexible. For example, an on-campus class may be moved online if the college receives guidance that this is necessary.

What if I don't have internet or need a quiet space to study?

The college has FREE wi-fi access for students at the LWTech campus for all students.

Understanding Your Class Mode - Section Codes

Modes of Instruction

Students have the option to search classes by their Instruction Mode. The classes are offered in the following four formats:

  • Web Enhanced - Classes are offered 100% with in-person instruction with use of an online tool such as Canvas
  • Hybrid Classes are offered combination of on-campus in-person and online.
  • On-line - Classes are offered 100% online.
  • In Person - Classes are offered 100% with in-person instruction, with no use of an online tool.

Class Section Code Definitions

Each course will be numbered based on the number of sections that are currently being offered. Some specific courses will have their own designated letter combination. Please see below for definitions.

  • Web Enhanced, Hybrid, and Online courses will be numbered in no particular order: 01, 02, 03, etc.

    • Labs will be coded with an L (01L)
