Cost & Financial Planning

Cost & Financial Planning

Before starting college, it's important to understand the full cost and what resources are available to help you pay for it. This page includes links to tuition, fees, cost of attendance, and tools to help you make informed decisions.

Estimated Cost By Program

The Estimated Cost by Program webpage provides an estimate of cost by individual program of study, broken down by degree or certificate. All costs are estimated and are subject to change at any time.

  • Estimates include tuition, fees, books & supplies, and other expected costs.
  • Prerequisite courses are not included in program costs.
  • Some programs require additional fees for liability insurance.
  • Estimated costs are calculated for Washington residents and full-time student status.
  • Different tuition rates apply for non-residents and international students.

Cost of Attendance (COA)

The Cost of Attendance (COA) includes tuition and fees plus other expenses like housing, food, books, supplies, transportation, and personal costs. It helps determine how much financial aid you may be eligible to receive and is used to measure financial need.

Even if you’re not applying for financial aid, the COA gives you a complete picture of the total estimated cost of attending college, beyond just tuition & fees, so you can plan your budget more effectively.

  • At LWTech, the COA is calculated for a nine-month academic year (three quarters).
  • Financial aid awards from all sources (grants, loans, scholarships, work-study, and others) cannot exceed your COA for the academic year.
