Applying for Financial Aid

We encourage all students to apply for financial aid! Whether you’re just getting started or planning ahead, submitting your application ensures you’re considered for the best possible funding options available. Apply for financial aid now using the FAFSA or WASFA.

Priority Deadline

To get the best chance at receiving financial aid and having your application processed before classes begin, be sure to submit all required forms and documents by March 15.This is our priority deadline for the upcoming academic year at Lake Washington Institute of Technology (LWTech).

Missed the Priority Deadline?

Don’t worry — you can still apply for financial aid anytime! Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis throughout the year. However, students who apply after March 15 should try to meet the quarterly processing deadlines below to be considered for funding before the quarter starts.

Some aid programs have limited funding, so awards are made on a first-come, first-served basis after the priority date. If your aid isn’t finalized before tuition is due, you’ll need to make arrangements to pay upfront. In some cases, you can request a payment deferral through the Financial Aid Office while your application is being processed.

Once your aid is awarded, any remaining tuition or fees not covered by financial aid will need to be paid in full.

The financial aid award year for LWTech is from July 1 through June 30 the following year (Summer through Spring quarters).
