Award Year

The financial aid award year for LWTech is from July 1 through June 30 the following year (Summer through Spring quarters).

Most grants and types of aid (Pell, SEOG, and the Washington College Grant) must be awarded over a maximum of three quarters in an academic year. This means that students who begin school in Summer quarter may only receive certain types of aid from Summer through Winter quarters. (In that case, there may not be a Spring quarter disbursement.) The Washington College Grant (formerly the Washington State Need Grant) is awarded at the beginning of Fall quarter. Please see the Financial Aid office for questions about annual aid disbursements.

Registration Information

Registration is the official process of enrolling into specific classes; tuition is due on the first day of the quarter. Students not meeting application priority dates need to make arrangements to pay tuition costs until a financial aid determination has been made. Under some circumstances, a student whose file has not yet been awarded may request to have the tuition deferred by completing a payment deferral form at the Financial Aid office. Any portion of tuition and fees not covered by aid must be paid at the start of the quarter.
