How do I know if I am ready to graduate?
Here are some steps you can take to ensure that you are ready to graduate!
The first step to applying for graduation is making sure you qualify to graduate.
Each program has specific requirements that must be met to complete the program. Check
out the College Catalog or look on LionsLink for your program's specific requirements.
Here are some general minimum requirements for degree completion:
- Baccalaureate degrees require completion of at least 180 college-level credits
- Associate degrees require completion of at least 90 college-level credits
- Certificates of Proficiency require completion of at least 45 credits
- For most programs, at least 30% of the degree must have been completed at LWTech
- If you are in a Certificate of Completion, 100% of these credits must have been completed at LWTech.
- You must pass all required classes with at least a 2.0 GPA.
- You must resolve any Incomplete Grades before applying for graduation
Your program may have a different credit requirement than the posted minimum requirement.
If you need to transfer credits to meet the degree requirements simply send LWTech your Official Transcripts.
Please note: We are experiencing issues with the Degree Progress reports in LionsLink. Your Degree
Progress report may not properly reflect your readiness to graduate. These errors
do not impact your Graduation Application because the Enrollment Services office performs
a manual review of your degree requirements. If you believe there is an issue with
your Degree Progress report, please make an appointment with an Advisor for graduation verification.
Advisors can also help with academic plans, course substitutions, transfer questions, program changes, and other important functions.
Are you sure you're ready to graduate? If you would like to make sure you are done with your degree, please schedule a meeting with your Advisor.
See below for the Graduation Application Link.
How long will it take to process my Graduation Application?
Typically, applications are processed within 4-6 weeks after your final grades are posted. Some quarters have more graduates than others; if you apply in Spring Quarter, it may take more time to process your graduation application. You will be notified via email or phone - please make sure your personal information is up-to-date in LionsLink!
Once your Graduation Application is processed, it takes 2-4 weeks after your degree is posted for your diploma to be ready! We can mail your diploma to you, or you can pick it up at LWTech. If you choose the mail option, please make sure your address is updated in LionsLink.
Graduation Application
Are you sure you're ready to graduate? You must have completed all requirements before you apply to graduate. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are ready to graduate. If you would like to make sure you are done with your degree, please schedule a meeting with your Advisor. Requirements are also listed in the graduation application and can be found on the college catalog. Filling out the graduation application does not guarantee that you have met all graduation requirements.
