Activating Your LWTech Accounts
You will use several web-based tools as an LWTech student, such as LionsLink powered by ctcLink, Canvas, Legend, and more. Setting up your IT accounts can be confusing. We're here to help! Use the guides below to walk through setting up the different technologies you'll use around campus.
If you're new to campus, the order you activate your technologies matters. Start with activating your LionsLink account, then your Okta Dashboard.
1. Lionslink powered by ctcLink
LionsLink powered by ctcLink is the online system used to sign up for classes, update
contact information, pay tuition, and more.
There are two options for activating your LionsLink Powered by CTCLink account. The right option for you will depend on if you are a new or returning student to the Washington State Community and Technical College system:
Option 1: You are new to the Washington State Community and Technical College system.
Option 2: You have previously attended a Washington State Community and Technical College and already have a CTCLink ID number.

Students new to the Washington State community and technical college system must activate their LionsLink account:

2. Okta Dashboard
Okta is the easy-to-use dashboard where you can access the web-based tools you use regularly, such as your student email, Canvas, Legend, and more.
Activating your Okta Dashboard is a 2-stage process:
Your LWTech/Okta password is different than the password you previously set up for LionsLink. Updating one will not impact the other.
There may be a short delay between the time you set your LWTech password and when you can activate your Okta Dashboard. If you receive an error message, please try again in a few minutes.
