The waitlist is open and active until the second day of the quarter. As of the second of the quarter, the waitlist is no longer active and students must contact the instructor for permission to join a class or find an alternative class.

Registration is not allowed after the 5th day of the quarter.

Students can find the late registration process online.

Degree Progress Report

You can run a Degree Progress Report through LionsLink. This report will show your progress towards completing your program of study and any remaining requirements.

Degree Progress Report Directions

Auditing Courses

The following conditions apply to course auditing:

  • If you want to audit a class, you must register, pay full tuition and fees, and be listed on the official class roster.
  • An audited class is recorded on the LWTech transcript with a grade of “N.” “N” grades do not factor into a student’s grade point average (GPA).
  • Credit is not earned and audited classes do not count towards any degree or certificate requirement.
  • The audit grade option must be approved by the instructor and submitted to Enrollment Services by the eighth week of the quarter.
  • Classes taken as an audit are not eligible to be covered by financial aid.
  • Running Start and international students are not allowed to take classes as an audit.
  • An auditing student’s participation in class activities and submission of coursework and tests is at the instructor’s discretion.
  • Students using the space-available senior citizen audit follow a separate process.

Maximum Credit Limit

You can review the typical course schedule for your degree or certificate in the college catalog.

If you are in a flexible program or taking prerequisite or general education coursework before starting your program, you are strongly encouraged to meet with your advisor about your educational plan and class availability.

You are considered "full-time" for financial aid purposes if they are in 12 or more credits. Most students enroll in approximately 15 credits per quarter (three 5-credit courses) per quarter to complete a 90-credit degree in 2 years.

  1. The maximum credit limit is 21 credits per quarter
  2. Enrollment for 22 or more credits per quarter requires a Dean's signature
  3. Enrollment for 26 or more credits per quarter is not allowed and may only be waived in rare cases with the Vice President of Instruction's approval

Unmet Pre-Requisites

If you receive the message "you have not met the pre-requisite for this class," this means you must complete the prerequisite for the class before registering.

Class prerequisites are published in the class descriptions in the class search and course descriptions.

All courses* at LWTech require Math and English placement prior to registration.

Learn more about placement

(*Sewing courses are exempt from placement requirements)

Retaking Classes

You may repeat any course regardless of the grade received; however, financial aid and other funding sources may not cover the repeat of a course in which a passing grade (2.0 or higher) was earned. It is the student's responsibility to determine funding for the repeat course.

All grades will still appear on the transcript whether repeated or not. If the most recent grade is lower than the earlier grade, the higher grade will count in the overall GPA.

The qualifier R on a transcript means a course has been repeated and is excluded from credits and grade point average.

Maximum Retake Enrollments

You may not enroll in a course more than three times, including attempts resulting in a "W" grade. This rule applies to all credit-bearing classes, including those numbered below 100.

However, you may enroll in variable credit courses, such as internship credits, as many times as necessary to complete the entire curriculum and earn the required number of credits
