application deadline. All classes must be completed with a minimum 2.0/C GPA; however,
your cumulative Science GPA and Non-Science GPA will be calculated separately using
the classes listed below and must equal 3.0 GPA or higher respectively to qualify
for admission. We do accept equivalent courses with different names or numbering systems.
If you have a question about your courses, please contact Nursing Admissions.

Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA required in the following classes.
Non-Science GPA Courses (20 Points Possible):

from ATI by the application deadline.TEAS Adjusted Composite Score (20 Points Possible):
Upon admission to the Nursing AAS-T, all students are required to submit a Clinical
Passport. Background check, Immunizations, and AHA BLS Provider CPR card are due Week
1 of the quarter. Each successful Nursing applicant is required to complete a background check. Fees
for this online service vary depending on the number of places in which the student
has resided within the past seven years. If a criminal background check for a particular
student shows a “less than satisfactory” rating, clinical facilities may deny access to that student.
While entrance to the Nursing Program may not be denied because of such a rating,
without access to the clinical facilities such a student will not be able to satisfactorily
complete the Nursing program and will be so advised. Throughout the program, nursing
students may be asked to complete and sign a form which asks for confirmation of the
student’s present and past criminal history. In addition, licensure as a Nurse in
the State of Washington requires a background check. The Washington State Department
of Health has the ability to deny Nursing licensure based upon criminal history. Washington State Department of Health does a background check prior to issuing license(s).
Their website gives a list of felonies and misdemeanors that are not acceptable for
licensure. It is the student's responsibility to follow up with the Department of
Health. Students are required to receive a CPR/Basic Life Support certification by Week 1
of the quarter. This information will be covered in the Mandatory Orientation. Please
bring all questions and concerns to the faculty at that time.Additional Documentation:
National Criminal Background check
CPR: American Heart Association BLS
Upon admission to the Nursing AAS-T, all students are required to submit a Clinical
Passport. Background check, Immunizations, and AHA BLS Provider CPR card are due Week
1 of the quarter. All immunizations are required.Required Immunizations:
Immunizations are required to ensure patient safety. If you are unable to receive
immunizations, you will be required to provide medical exemptions from a provider.
Clinical agencies may deny placement if you are unable to meet the immunization standards.
Students who are unable to meet the clinical requirements for the program may be prevented
from continuing or completing the program.

recommend obtaining immunizations and CPR now and do not delay. More information will
be provided at the Mandatory Orientation.
