Selective Admission Programs
Navigation
Welcome to Selective Admissions!
Thank you for your interest in Selective Admission programs at LWTech! At LWTech, most of our programs are what we call Open Admission, meaning anyone can join them! Some programs fall under what we call Selective Admission – these are programs that have additional requirements and a separate application process. Programs like bachelor’s degrees or Nursing fall under this category of program.
Applying for Selective Admissions
Applying for Selective Admission programs is easy – just follow these 4 steps!
If you are a current student at LWTech, you have already done this step! Skip to Step 2.
You must be admitted as a student to LWTech to apply for a BAS program. Please complete this quick application (takes about 10 minutes) to become a student in our system. You will receive a Student ID number, a student email, and more.
If you are in High School Programs, transitioning from Essential Skills, or were a student over a year ago, you must complete the Returning Student Reactivation Form instead of the college application.
We do recommend that all new LWTech students, including new Selective Admission students, complete New Student Orientation.
All Selective Admission programs have additional requirements that must be completed prior to entering the program. To see specific program requirements, please click the link to your desired program below!
We highly recommend that you meet with an Advisor to make an academic plan for these requirements. Our Advisors are highly skilled at helping students reach their goals!
LWTech requires transcripts from every college where you took prerequisite courses. You can find instructions on sending your transcripts on our Transferring to LWTech page. If your program requires a test score, you may need to send that transcript as well.
If you took classes at LWTech, you do not need to send transcripts.
Please contact Selective Admission for questions about requirements or transcripts.
Now you are ready to apply! You can find program-specific application links on the program Information Page. Click the link below to access the program Information Page!

Can I reapply if I am not accepted?
Not being accepted on your first try can be difficult, but don’t lose hope! Students who are not accepted into Selective Admission programs are welcome to reapply during the program’s next admission cycle. We recommend checking with the Selective Admission team or Advising for detailed information about your application decision before reapplying. Feel free to reach out to the Selective Admission team via email with any questions.
Transferring to LWTech
LWTech requires Official Transcripts from every college where you took any required classes (not required for classes completed at LWTech). If you have an International Transcript, we will accept the Course-by-Course Evaluation from an evaluation agency. Please contact us if you have questions about transcripts. You can find additional information here: LWTech.edu/Transfer. Here are some general rules for sending your transcripts.
- We cannot accept email attachments, even directly from the college or agency.
- Transcripts must come directly from the institution or agency.
- Electronic delivery is fastest. Most institutions use Parchment, National Clearinghouse, or another service. You can order the transcript to be sent directly to us.
- You can hand-deliver an Official Transcript to Enrollment Services in the original, sealed envelope. This must be sealed by the issuing agency. Do not open the envelope!
